Pearl of the Indian Ocean

                               It is my mother land, which is called Sri Lanka.It is an island , which is surrounded by Indian Ocean.My country is a small and very beautiful island.

The capital of Sri Lanka is Sri Jayawardhana pura Kotte.Sri Lanka has a population of more than 22 millions.They are Sinhalese, Tamils, Muslims and Burghers.They believe Buddhism, Hinduism,Islam and Christianity.They all are living in harmony on the small island, regardless of race or religion.We celebrate our independence day on 4th February.The current president of Sri Lanka is Mr.Gotabhaya Rajapaksha and Mr.Mahinda Rajapaksha is the prime minister.



Sri Lanka has a favourable climate because of it is a small island where ever situated in the middle of Indian Ocean, near by equator.Therefore Sri Lanka has been able to attract a very high number of tourists.There are most beautiful tourism places in all around the country.





I'm really proud to be a Sri Lankan.

 The sun, the moon, the sky, the earth, the great ocean, are the elements of nature.  All that builds up in this nature is ecosystems.  That environment gives life to human beings and animals.  Human beings use their four-limbed nature and the environment to exist, exist and perish according to the laws of nature.  In this way, the various activities that take place in the environment during the functioning of nature also contribute to the existence of human beings.  But even though man must accept nature, there are times when some people harm themselves as well as others in their attempts to oppose nature.  The Supreme Buddha preached the Dhamma to all the three worlds, likening the processes of nature.  Therefore, he preached the doctrine of Utpada-Tithi-Bhanga to the world because emergence, existence and destruction are natural phenomena.  But most people do not have access to theories and messages of nature and the environment.  Tho...
